How Much Is a North Face Jacket Worth on Vinted UK?

Last updated

North Face is one of the most reliably sellable brands on Vinted. It holds its value better than most, sells year-round — with a serious spike in autumn — and buyers actively search for it by name. The problem is that a lot of people don't know what they have. A good-condition Nuptse listed at £25 because the seller "wasn't sure what to ask" is the kind of thing that makes you wince a little.

Here's what North Face actually sells for in the UK secondhand market, based on data from the Worthmore pricing database.

Why North Face holds its value

Three things make North Face unusually strong in the secondhand market. Brand recognition is near-universal — buyers know the logo and what it means, which removes the friction that affects lesser-known premium brands. The product quality is genuine, so items last long enough to have meaningful resale life. And the flagship models — particularly the Nuptse — have an almost iconic status in UK streetwear that creates sustained, active demand rather than occasional interest.

The result is that a North Face item in good condition is one of the easier things to sell on Vinted, provided it's priced correctly.

Coats and puffer jackets

This is where the real value sits. North Face puffer coats — particularly the Nuptse range — are among the most searched items on Vinted in the autumn and winter months.

General North Face coat (any puffer or insulated coat style)

ConditionTypical price range
New with tags£75–180
Like new£54–139
Good£35–88
Fair£20–54
Worn / poor£10–27

Nuptse specifically (the baffled panel puffer — buyers search for it by name)

The Nuptse commands a meaningful premium. RRP is currently around £300. Buyers who want a Nuptse search for "Nuptse" — if yours is one and you don't say so, you miss the people most willing to pay for it.

ConditionTypical price range
New with tags£110–260
Like new£85–201
Good£55–128
Fair£33–78
Worn / poor£15–36

A good-condition Nuptse that's done a few winters is genuinely worth £55–128 on Vinted. If you've been storing it in a bag since March thinking it's not worth much, check that tag.

Lighter jackets and fleeces

Denali fleeces, windbreakers, softshells — the non-puffer outerwear.

Sweatshirts and hoodies

North Face branded sweatshirts are well-searched and sell consistently year-round — less dramatic value than outerwear, but more predictable.

Getting the best price

Time your listing. Puffers and coats listed in September or October sell faster and at better prices than the same item listed in March. Buyers aren't searching for a Nuptse in spring. If you're in no rush, store it and list it properly in season.

Photograph the lining and the zips. These are the places North Face items show wear first — underarm lining, zip pulls, and the edges of the hand pockets. Buyers know this, and photos that clearly show these areas in good condition are worth more than a dozen flat lays. Conversely, if yours show wear in those spots, photograph them anyway — honest condition descriptions prevent disputes.

State the model name. "North Face coat, size M" and "North Face Nuptse 700 puffer, size M" are different listings. The second one gets found by buyers who know what they want and are ready to pay for it.

Include the chest measurement. North Face sizing varies between ranges and across years. A buyer who knows they need a 42" chest for a good fit won't rely on the label — they'll look for the measurement. Add it and you filter for serious buyers.

A note on condition grading

The ranges above are broad because condition genuinely drives the outcome. "Good" for a jacket that's been worn twice is different from "good" for one that's done three Scottish winters. Be honest with yourself before you decide. Vinted buyers are pretty experienced at spotting condition grades that don't match the photos, and disputes are more hassle than the extra £5 you might have squeezed.
